BANNSIDERS TOP OF THE PILE AFTER FOURTH WIN

Coleraine moved to the top of the Danske Bank Premiership after defeating Warrenpoint Town at The Showgrounds to maintain their 100% start to the campaign.

The visitors almost moved in front on 14 minutes when Jordan Lyttle was denied by a brilliant stop from Chris Johns after nodding a Neil McCafferty free-kick goalbound.

However, from the breakaway, Coleraine surged forward as Eoin Bradley went down the right before crossing for Jamie McGonigle to open the scoring from close range.

'Point might have levelled a few minutes from the break when Darren Murray came close with a header but Johns did well to tip the ball over.

Murray went one better on the stroke of half-time with a well taken volley after the home defence failed to clear a cross into the box.

But Murray's evening turned sour early in the second half when he was dismissed for a second bookable offence, a foul on Brad Lyons, after previously being caution for dissent.

Coleraine's winner came on 69 minutes after Ian Parkhill crossed from the right for Darren McCauley to drill home into the bottom corner.
