FIVE OUT OF FIVE AS BANNSIDERS MARCH ON

Coleraine moved to the top of the talbe with a fifth win in a row to maintain their 100% start to the campaign with victory over Glenavon at The Showgrounds.

The Bannsiders moved in front after 14 minutes when, following a Rhys Marshall foul on Brad Lyons and a Simon Kelly handball, referee Andrew Davey pointed to the spot with Darren McCauley coolly stepping up to chip the ball over 'keeper Johnny Tuffey.

However, Glenavon levelled on 24 minutes through the unmarked Adam Foley's header at the back post into the far corner after Andy Hall swung over a well delivered cross from the right.

Coleraine regained the advantage on the half-hour mark after Tuffey made a mess of a ball into the box with Josh Carson pouncing to tuck the ball home.

And they went further ahead on 39 minutes with McCauley's second of the afternoon, an excellent curving effort from the edge of the area following a period of sustained pressure.

Gary Hamiton's side pulled a goal back early in the second half after some excellent work by Hall down the right flank which saw him beat Aaron Traynor before sending in a low cross from Andrew Mitchell to slot past Chris Johns.

But, just three minutes after that, Coleraine restored their two-goal cushion courtesy of a screamer from Ciaron Harkin into the top corner from the edge of the box after McCauley laid the ball off.
