Newry City bounced back from Saturday's unexpected league reversal to progress to the next round of the BetMcLean League Cup at the expense of Loughgall.
The only goal of the game at Lakeview Park arrived just after the half-hour mark courtesy of Darren King's header past Villagers keeper Fintan Coney.
