Glentoran's Demi Vance has been named NIFWA Women's Player of the Month for June.

Vance scored two quick-fire goals in the Women's League Cup final last Friday night, as the Glens recorded a 2-0 win over Sion Swifts at Seaview.

The midfielder also registered a goal in the Danske Bank Women's Premiership, with Glentoran finishing the month unbeaten.

A delighted Vance said, "It's a fantastic honour to win this award. I'd like to thank the Football Writers' for their support.

"June was great for us. We won the League Cup and we kept the pressure on Linfield at the top of the league. It's nice to win this award after my teammate Rachel Rogan won it in May. It's great for the club to win the first two NIFWA awards."

On Wednesday night Glentoran Women claimed top spot thanks to a 1-0 win over Linfield Ladies at New Midgley Park.
