The Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League returns on Saturday 17 August as the best intermediate teams try and plot their way into senior football once more.

With the third tier teams kicking off their season with the opening rounds of the BetMcLean League Cup and the Steel and Sons Cup, the third-tier is the last of the three NI Football Leagues to kick off in the three consecutive weeks of August.

The twelve teams will face each other twice (home & away) over the course of the 22 game league season with the winners earning promotion to the Bluefin Sport Championship.

There’s been plenty of change in the division over the summer, former Premiership Bangor have returned to the NI Football League after two seasons out, having won the Ballymena & Provincial Intermediate League last season – they return to league action at home to Dollingstown.

Limavady United suffered a cruel relegation from the Championship last year, but they have a new manager in the dugout as former Northern Ireland international Mark Clyde takes charge of his hometown club for the first time in the league against Tobermore United at the Showgrounds.

Matchday One – Saturday 17 August 2019 (kick-off: 3pm)

Annagh United v Lurgan Celtic
Armagh City v Portstewart
Banbridge Town v Moyola Park
Bangor v Dollingstown
Limavady United v Tobermore United
Lisburn Distillery v Newington
