Ten players from the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership have been included in the Northern Ireland senior women’s squad for next month’s Pinatar Cup in Spain.

Northern Ireland travel to Murcia for a tournament that involves games against Iceland (4 March), Ukraine (7 March) and Scotland (10 March).

Glentoran Women’s teenage midfielder Danielle Maxwell has received her first call up to Kenny Shiels’ squad and is joined by her team-mate Emma McMaster.

Reigning champions Linfield Ladies are represented by Ashley Hutton, Chloe McCarron, Rebecca McKenna, Casey Howe and Caitlin McGuinness, whilst Cliftonville duo Toni-Leigh Finnegan & Marissa Callaghan and Crusaders Strikers veteran Julie Nelson make up the locally based contingent.

The next qualifying match for Northern Ireland is on 14 April against Belarus with the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership season kicking off in the same month.
