John Bailie continues his preparations for his first full season in charge of Ards by agreeing terms with the majority of his squad from the 2019/20 campaign.

Ards finished fourth in the Bluefin Sport Championship and Bailie, who took over mid-season from Warren Feeney, has kept faith with no fewer than 18 players who have made the commitment to stay with the club, namely Leo Brown, Jamie Craig, Ryan Dalzell, Sam Dinu, Cai Gemmell, Adam Harwood, Jonah Heron, Salou Jallow, David McAllister, Eamon McAllister, Jaimie McGovern, Craig McMillen, T.J. Murray, Brian Neeson, Kym Nelson, Steven Shearer, Dylan Wilson and Conall Young.

In addition Kyle Calderwood, who spent the season on loan from Crusaders, has left Seaview to join Ards on permanent basis when the transfer window opens on August 1st. The 20-year-old centre back made 28 appearances last term across all competitions, scoring four goals.

Also arriving at the Bangor Fuels Arena is Danny Magill who makes the switch from Carrick Rangers on a season long loan. The defender appeared eight times for the 'Gers during the 2019/20 campaign.

However, former skipper Johnny Taylor will be leaving after failing to agree a new deal with the club.
