New Banbridge Town signing Chris McMahon
Stuart King has made his first signing of the summer for Banbridge Town by bringing experienced midfielder Chris McMahon to Crystal Park.

The 27-year-old joins after a couple of years with Windmill Stars but will be no stranger to the PIL following a long period at Newry City from their days back in the Mid-Ulster Intermediate League right through to the Premiership, including serving as club captain.

King was pleased to get his man following previous failed attempts to sign him.

"I have tried to sign Chris since he left Newry. In my opinion he’s one of the best midfielders in the Mid-Ulster League with loads of experience so I'm delighted to finally get him on board," he said on the club social media channels.

However, leaving the club are Michael Allison and keeper Gerard McErlean due to business and family commitments. Allison made 20 appearances last season, scoring four times from midfield while McErlean turned out between the sticks on 18 occasions.
