Carrick Rangers boss Niall Currie has agreed a new three-year contract with the Danske Bank Premiership club.

Currie arrived at the Loughshore Hotel Arena in May 2018, achieving promotion back to the top flight in his first season and securing an eight place finish last term.

The Portadown man, who has been busy during the close season strengthening his squad for the season ahead, spoke of his delight at committing to Rangers until the end of the 2022/23 season.

"It has been a wonderful journey and the steps forward our club has taken both on and off the pitch are there for everyone to see. I am very excited for what lies ahead in this journey and I am over the moon to be a part of it," he told the club website.
