Carrick Rangers boss Niall Currie has added another new face to his squad with the signing of Jordan Gibson from Loughgall.

The 25-year-old arrives after spending several years with the Villagers, making 35 appearances last season (five goals) from midfield. Previously his career had taken him to Lurgan Celtic and Dollingstown.

Currie was pleased to get his man.

"I have watched him for many years now and for me he has always been that special player. He is 25-years-old now and I am delighted he has shown that desire that our club needs to play at the highest level and for me, he should have been playing at this level from years ago, though better late than never," he told the club website.

"I'm very excited to finally have him with us and our supporters can be excited about this big man who will strengthen our squad massively. He has everything needed to succeed here and it is all in his own hands now to do that."
