Eight players from the Danske Bank Women's Premiership featured for Northern Ireland in their friendly defeat to England at the St. George's Park complex on Tuesday afternoon.

In what was an important preparation game ahead of the Women's Euro play-offs in April, Kenny Shiels' side went down 6-0 to their hosts, ranked sixth in the world.

Starting the game from the domestic league were Julie Nelson (Crusaders Strikers), Marissa Callaghan (Cliftonville Ladies), Abbie Magee (Linfield Ladies) and Nadene Caldwell (Glentoran Women).

Nelson and Magee played the full 90 minutes whilst Callaghan was replaced after 58 minutes by Charlton Athletic's Ciara Watling and Caldwell got 84 minutes before Linfield's Kelsie Burrows came on in her place.

In addition, Rebecca McKenna (also Linfield) took to the pitch on 57 minutes for Chloe McCarron, as did Toni-Leigh Finnegan (Cliftonville) and Samantha Kelly (Glentoran) for Rebecca Holloway and Sarah Robson respectively late in the game.

Furthermore, Crusaders duo Maddie Harvey Clifford and Emily Wilson were amongst the unused substitutes as were Linfield pair Ashley Hutton and Casey Howe.
