Carrick Rangers boss Stuart King has announced his second signing in as many days with the acquisition of keeper Ben McCauley.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper makes the switch to east Antrim after spending the second half of last season with Premier Intermediate League side PSNI, but had started the campaign in the Championship with HW Welders.

He was also previously with Ballyclare Comrades and Ballymena United amongst others.

Talking about the move, King said: "Ben is someone who came highly recommended to me and has previously worked with Ross Glendinning at Ballymena.

"My staff and I have watched him quite a bit last season and I know he will add to us as he has an outstanding attitude and will push Ross for that number one position," he told the official club website.

In other transfer news, Jordan Lyttle has departed Loughgall for Armagh City while Calvin McCurry has signed for Ballyclare Comrades on a permanent basis after scoring ten goals for the club last season on loan from Cliftonville.
