Linfield Women remain undefeated in the Avenir Sports Women's All-Island Cup after coming from behind to defeat Bohemians on Saturday at Midgley Park.

There were defeats, unfortunately, for Cliftonville Ladies, Glentoran Women, Crusaders Strikers and Lisburn Ladies across the weekend.

The Blues, who had drawn with Peamount United in the opening Group A game last month, went behind early in the second half when Sarah McKevitt found the net in off the crossbar.

However Linfield levelled just after the hour through Bernadette Ferreira before, on 70 minutes, Orlagh Fitzpatrick turned the ball into her own net to ultimately hand the Blues the win.

Cliftonville, last season's runners-up, still have to get off the mark this term and suffered a heavy six-goal defeat away to Wexford.

The Reds trailed by three goals at the break thanks to Ceola Bergin's brace being added to by Ellen Molloy. Bergin then bagged her hat-trick midway through the second half before Emily Corbet struck twice late on to complete the scoring.

Glentoran also fell to defeat, conceding four goals without reply away to Galway United.

Kate Thompson handed the home side a tenth minute advantage, which was how it stayed until nine minutes from time when Sofie Keenan turned the ball into her own net before late goals from Jenna Slattery and Eve Dossen added extra emphasis to the scoreline.

The action continued on Sunday with Crusaders Strikers and Lisburn Ladies falling to home defeats to Treaty United and Peamount United respectively.

The Strikers fell behind in first half stoppage time at Seaview when Delana Friesen found the net with Erin Van Dolder doubling up for Treaty just after the hour.

Meanwhile, at the Bluebell Stadium, Louise Masterson and Erin McLaughlin gave Peamount a two-goal lead at the break over Lisburn Ladies.

Avril Brierly hit a third on 55 minutes, followed soon after by McLaughlin's second of the afternoon. Ellen Dolan then added another couple later in proceedings to wrap the scoring up.
