DERGVIEW ON TOP AT RAIN LASHED DARRAGH PARK

Dergview forged ahead six minutes before the break. Ryan Campbell's whipped low cross from the right was only partially cleared and Adam Buchanan, following up, drilled the ball low inside John Connolly's left post from 16 yards.

The hosts grabbed their second just before the hour after a lay-off from Campbell parted the visiting rearguard and Simon McGlynn charged through the middle to coolly slot the ball past the advancing Connolly.

The Ports rang the changes with Neil Henderson and Kyle Neill both introduced however the visitors still offered little in the final third, despite the earlier introduction of Kevin Amuneke, until Thomas Wray conceded a penalty for a challenge on Chris Lavery with 20 minutes remaining, which Henderson duly converted.

Campbell wrapped up the scoring with the hosts' third right at the end. On a swift counter attack substitute Matty Callaghan fed McGlynn on the right and he, in turn, picked out Campbell galloping through the middle.

The sharpshooter took a good first touch, weighed up his options before steering the ball low inside Connolly's left upright to hammer the final nail firmly in the Ports coffin.
