VILLAGERS STRENGTHEN CLAIM FOR TOP SIX PLACE

Loughgall gave their chances of making the top six cut a huge boost with this thumping defeat of Larne at Inver Park.

Despite the eventual outcome Larne moved in front after 17 minutes when Andrew Mooney turned home at the back post a low cross from Matthew Henry.

The Villagers levelled on 40 minutes through Peter Campbell with a curling 25-yard free-kick before Richard Copeland got on the end of a corner to each the visitors into the lead.

Then, with just under a quarter-of-an-hour left, Marc McConnell finished coolly after being played in by Jordan Baker.

And the scoring was completed with eight minutes later after Copeland headed home from close range following a Joel Madison fumble of Campbell's corner.
