A Louise McFrederick double saw Linfield Ladies reach the League Cup final with victory over Glentoran Belfast United.
The Blues started well and were on top in the early stages with a number of long range shots just off target.
Glentoran were finding it difficult to get a foothold in the game. They lost influential midfielder Makyla Mulholland to a leg injury that required her to be carried from the pitch.
And their injury woes continued when right-back Cathy Rees was forced to retire with an ankle injury.
But these setbacks didn't stop Glentoran from taking the game to Linfield. A Kelly Bailie cross almost caught out Linfield 'keeper Lauren Perry when it struck the crossbar and was cleared with Rachel Rogan waiting to pounce. A sustained period of Glentoran pressure failed to bring them any reward.
McFrederick almost put Linfield in front just before half time when her header from a Kirsty McGuinness corner was headed off the line by Nadene Caldwell.
Glentoran replied a few minutes later as a Kerry Eddis free-kick almost evaded Perry.
Linfield took the lead midway through the second half when a McGuinness free-kick found McFrederick with a close range header.
The Blues increased their lead towards the end when McFrederick doubled her tally with another header this time from a Sarah Venney corner.
