'BREDA A TOUGH NUT TO CRACK AS WHITES TWICE SQUANDER LEAD

LISBURN Distillery twice surrendered the lead in this four goal thriller at Breda Park.

Knockbreda suffered an early setback when, on 12 minutes, they were reduced to ten men following Gary Chisholm's dismissal for a tackle on Mikey Withers on the edge of the area.

However, the Whites also lost a man later in the first half after 'keeper Robert Robinson was sent-off for dissent.

Defender Ryan Irwin was sacrificed by manager Tommy Kincaid as substitute 'keeper Ryan McBride took Robinson's place between the posts.

The deadlock was broken five minutes into the second half after Bradley Morton found Glen Upton who, in turn, nodded the ball on for James McIlhagga to volley the Whites in front.

'Breda levelled six minutes later, though, courtesy of a Miguel Chines free-kick which he expertly curled around the wall.

But the visitors regained the advantage soon after thanks to a bullet-like Neil Alderdice header from a Mark Tweedie free-kick.

Their joy was short-lived as moments later Eddie Williamson levelled for Knockbreda with a seemingly harmless effort from around the halfway line which somehow was missed by the Whites defence before taking a fortunate bounce just in front of McBride.

And 'Breda almost snatched the points on 71 minutes when Chines teed up Stephen Hislop only for his shot to drift just the wrong side of the post.
