John Convery grabbed the winners for Ards as they defeated struggling Dundela at Clandeboye Park.

The Duns enjoyed the better moments of an ultimately scoreless first half although neither 'keeper was really threatened throughout.

However, that all changed early in the second half when Eamon McAllister got on the end of a Neil Dougan through ball to fire past the advancing Jonathan Sergeant.

Dundela levelled two minutes later, however, an uncleared corner was pounced upon by Andrew Ferguson to scramble home.

But what proved to be the winner came with 13 minutes remaining. Greg Hall and Brendan Shannon combined down the right to lay the ball off for McAllister on the edge of the area who, in turn, nodded forward to the back post for Convery to blast into the net.
