EARLY GOALS BUT POINTS SHARED AT KNOCKRAMER

The game was only three minutes old when Lurgan Celtic were awarded a penalty following a handball in the 'Breda penalty area. The spotkick was subsequently clinically dispatched into the net by Stefan Campbell for his second goal in successive home matches.

The lead was short lived however as Knockbreda drew level only a few minutes later through veteran striker Michael Halliday's looping a header over Celtic keeper McPartland following a free-kick.

The rest of the first half was fairly even although the visitors had the better of the chances and Celtic were grateful for good defending and wasteful finishing.

Minutes into the second half Knockbreda  defender Jamie Patterson was sent off for what was deemed a reckless and dangerous tackle in the middle of the park.

Whilst Lurgan Celtic had the bulk of possession thereafter, they could not find the back of the net.
