LARNE were in control from the off. The Inver men didnt have to wait long to take the lead.

After a needless foul, Rangers couldnt deal with the freekick and the deadly Niall McAllister headed home from five yards, unmarked.

Larne doubled their lead when a Glebe attack broke down but Elder, who tracked back well, was ajudged by the assistant referee to have brought down the Larne attacker in the box. Adam Dick made no mistake from the spot.

The visitors killed the game off a few minutes later when Paul Maguire scored with a powerful header.

The hosts best effort was an Elder effort which came off the post.

The second half was very much a non event, with Elder again striking the wood work from an acute angle.

The game petered out, for a comfortable win too the visitors.

Rangers, who are already looking to next season in Championship 2, will be heartened by the display of Adam McVicker.

A second half sub, the 16 yr old looks like the future for the Glebe with a mature performance.
