Larne missed out on a top six place by just a single point after they went down 1-0 to league leaders Warrenpoint Town at Inver Park.

David McAlinden's side might have moved in front on 22 minutes when Andrew Mooney pounced on a poor Dermot McVeigh back pass but 'keeper Johnny Parr was able to make the save.

The only goal of the game came just before the break through Conor McMenamin when he got his head to a Josh Lynch free-kick delivered into the area.

Warrenpoint had the best of the chances after the break with John McGuigan firing over the top from ten yards while McMenamin tested Conor Malcolmson with a well struck shot.
