Portadown came away from this clash with HW Welders at Tillysburn Park with all three points after two Chris Lavery goals in the closing minutes.
The Welders enjoyed a lot of possession in the the first half and went ahead after a quarter-of-an-hour through Ben Arthurs.
The home side were still very much in charge at this stage although the Ports, backed by a huge support, began to apply the pressure which paid off on 38 minutes when Adam Salley equalized, scoring directly from a free kick which appeared to breach the wall.
From the restart the Welders seemed to have lost the authority that was evident in the first half and it was the Ports who were beginning to impose themselves on the game.
With time rolling and a 1-1 draw looking probable, the visitors snatched two goals in the closing minutes, both scored by Chris Lavery.
