Dale Malone grabbed the only goal of the game as the PSNI defeated Knockbreda at Newforge.
Played in perfect conditions this was a game of football which produced little opportunities for either side.
One of the highlights was a fantastic save from PSNI 'keeper, Jordan Williamson late in the second half, from a Knockbreda free-kick – the ball rounded the wall but Williamson made one of his now regular outstanding saves. At the other end Jason Craughwell was seldom troubled.
The only goal of the game arrived with ten minutes remaining when substitute Mark Anderson delivered a penetrating cross that the 'Breda defence was unable to deal with. The ball eventually fell to Malone and his strike, from the edge of the box, ended up in the back of the net.
