NIFL CHAMPIONSHIP 1 MATCHDAY 12 PREVIEW

There are six NIFL Championship games this Saturday and with the top two not playing, Larne and Bangor will be looking to close the gap on the leaders.

Larne welcome Armagh City to Inver Park at 3pm knowing that a win will move them to within a point of second placed Welders and a further point off Ards at the top of the table.   Larne won both games last season vs Armagh, scoring four goals home and away.

Fourth placed Bangor entertain Lurgan Celtic at 3pm at the Bangor Fuels Arena also knowing that a win will put them within touching distance of the leaders. The Seasiders won 4-3 last time out away to Armagh City, while Celtic are winless in three and lost 3-2 to Larne two weeks ago.

Donegal Celtic are at Suffolk Road hosting Dergview at 2pm as they still await their first win of the season. DC lost 4-0 at home last Saturday.  Dergview are on the road for the third game running having taken four points this month away from home; a draw at Annagh Utd and a win at Lisburn Distillery.

Knockbreda host Loughgall at 2pm at Breda Park with the home side looking for a third win in a row after victories against Distillery and Annagh Utd.  Loughgall’s last game was a 3-1 win at home to DC. Both sides are level with each other on 17 points.

Annagh United face Ballyclare Comrades at 3pm at Tandragee Road with the visitors in fine form taking seven points from their last three games.  Annagh, after a decent start to the season, have only won once in their last seven, losing five of them and drawing the other.

Institute welcome Lisburn Distillery to the Riverside Stadium at 3pm. Stute’s last Championship outing was a fantastic 2-0 win away to Ards and they were unlucky to lose to Warrenpoint Town in the JBE League Cup Quarter-Finals.  Distillery languish in 13th place in the table and have lost their last seven league games.
