Dundela player Jordan Hughes collects the Belleek trophy from NIFWA Chairman Keith Bailie

DUNDELA forward Jordan Hughes has won the NIFWA Championship Player of the Month award for October.

Hughes, who also won the September award, has been in superb form for the Duns in recent months. He scored seven goals in October including a hat-trick against

Ballyclare Comraders at Dixon Park. Upon collecting the Belleek trophy, Hughes said, "To win this award twice in a row is amazing. I'd like to thank the Football Writers' for picking me again.

"Although I've scored the goals this season, Dundela's good form has been a team effort. It's a tough league with the likes of Larne and Portadown in it but we are giving it our all and I see no reason why we can't continue to compete with the top teams."
