NORTH DOWN DERBY ENDS ALL SQUARE

The first North Down derby of the season ended in honours even at Clandeboye Park.

Ards moved in front after 35 minutes when Willie Faulkner laid the ball off for new signing Eamon McAllister to slot home into an unguarded net.

However, the Seasiders levelled on the hour through Mark Cooling when he finished from the edge of the area after Kris Pike and Andy Morrow combined to create the opening.
