Portadown secured a post-split top six spot with victory over Dergview at Darragh Park.

Ross Larkin opened the scoring for the Ports on 26 minutes after getting past his marker to nod a Sean Mackle corner past Tom Hegan at the near post.

Gerard Storey might have added a second a couple of minutes later only for his effort from Jamie Douglas' cross to drop the wrong side of an upright.

Portadown continued to press with further chances coming from from Chris Lavery but, on 71 minutes, they were pegged back when Matthew Kirk levelled for Dergview with a volley from just outside the box.

However, substitute Kevin Braniff claimed the points for the visitors with nine minutes later when he picked up a loose ball after Lavery had crossed from the left.
