Bluefin Sport Championship promotion hopefuls Loughgall and Ards played out a drab scoreless draw at Lakeview Park.

In a game of very few chances – the two main talking points of this game came in the final ten minutes.

Firstly, Ards captain Johnny Taylor received his marching orders after a he struck out at a Loughgall player which referee Chris Morrison deemed worthy of a straight red card, despite already having been in the book earlier in the game.

Loughgall then had a huge call for a last minute penalty waved away by the referee, as they had to settle for a point.

That result leaves Loughgall still in second place albeit with the gap at the top widening to four points between themselves and Portadown with Ards in fifth position.
