PSNI recovered from two goals down to ultimately secure victory over Limavady United at The Showgrounds.

The visitors did seize the early advantage, however, when Lukasz Adamcyzk opened the scoring after eight minutes when he nipped in to direct the ball past Connor Brown after Emmet Friars' backpass fell short.

United got back on level terms five minutes later when Sean McCarron was allowed space to move forward and shoot, with his effort seeming to bounce awkwardly before beating Jordan Williamson.

Then, on 19 minutes, the Roesiders moved in front when Alex Pomeroy was played in and took two touches before passing into the net for an excellent solo goal.

The PSNI might have levelled just after the half-hour mark when Friars was adjudged to have handled the ball but Brown dived correctly to his left to keep out Mark Anderson's subsequent spot-kick.

Moments later Shane Boyle extended Limavady's lead with a corner from inside the box.

The visitors pulled a goal back just before the hour when Dylan Wilson was left unmarked to head in from close range.

They then levelled with just less than a quarter-of-an-hour to go through substitute Tony Tumelty who pounced after Boyle missed a high ball into the box.

And Tumelty struck again in stoppage time with what proved to be the winner with a powerful volley after collecting the ball deep in the Limavady half.
