ANNAGH START REBUILDING WITH EXPERIENCE

Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League club Annagh United have started building for the new season with the arrivals of experienced NI Football League campaigners Niall Henderson and Neal Gawley.

Following the appointment of Ciaran McGurgan as first team manager, there have no been no less than seven new signings ahead of the new season and the appointment of experienced January signing Michael Gault as club captain.

Henderson joins having spent last season at neighbouring Portadown, the 30-year-old midfielder had previously enjoyed spells with Glentoran, Glenavon, Dungannon Swifts, Newry City having returned from York City in England.

Winger Gawley returns to the NI Football League having previously enjoyed spells at Glenavon, Lisburn Distillery, Glentoran, Dungannon Swifts and Ballymena United. The 32-year-old was playing with Warren YM in his native Lisburn last season.

Stefan Campbell from Lurgan Celtic striker is the latest acquisition, whilst Sam Haugh (Dungannon Swifts), Owen McConville (Dungannon Swifts), Shane McPartland (Lurgan Celtic) and Paul Stretton (Loughgall) have all joined the club.

Mark McAllister is the main departure from Annagh as he returns to his former club Dungannon Swifts having spent the second half of the season with the Portadown based side.

Talented young duo Ben Eagle and Craig Taylor have agreed pre-contract agreements with Dungannon Swifts and will join next season.
