CAMPBELL APPOINTED EAGLES BOSS

Shea Campbell has been confirmed as the new manager of Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League club Armagh City.

The appointment last week comes after the resignation of Joe Kerr at Holm Park after just two seasons at the helm.

The Eagles secured their NI Football League status in the final weeks of the season, eventually finishing tenth in the Premier Intermediate League table above Dollingstown and relegated Sport & Leisure Swifts.

38-year-old Campbell played a vital part in the survival of his hometown club, with a remarkable 11 goals from 14 appearances in a difficult season for the club with a young squad. Taking his tally to 84 goals in 200 games for the club across multiple spells.

The role will be the new manager’s first in the dugout after a lengthly playing career that has seen Campbell also don the colours of Dungannon Swifts, Ballymena United, Linfield, Glenavon, Cliftonville, Loughgall and Annagh United.
