COAGH SURVIVE PRESSURE TO WIN GLEN ROAD THRILLER

A thrilling encounter at Glen Road Heights saw Coagh United hold on to take all three points.

The visitors opened the scoring on seven mins when Aaron Campbell pounced on a Leisure mistake to shoot past 'keeper Patrick Saunders.

James Daly almost equalised just minutes later but his left foot shot came back off the crossbar.

A Leisure corner was then only half cleared and Gary Largey attempted an overhead kick but Coagh keeper Hassan made a fine save.

On 34 minutes Leisure had to replace their keeper as he seemed to twist his knee as he made a clearance and defender Stephen Tully went between the sticks.

In time added on Andrew Kelso made it 2-0 as he rose to head home Henry's corner.

Leisure were reduced to ten men early in the second after Ryan McAuley was dismissed for a challenge on Matthew Kempton.

Spurred on by this, Leisure went on to dominate the second half, pulled a goal back on the hour through Kevin Lynch.

Despite effort after effort Leisure just couldn't break the Coagh defence again.
