It’s advantage Dergview in the Championship Promotion / Relegation Playoff as they narrowly defeated Queens University on Friday evening.
There were only seven minutes on the clock at The Dub when Andrew Sproule’s darting run down the left flank was met with a cool finish from Adam Dougherty to give the Championship side the lead.
It proved to be the only goal of a tight encounter in the first leg of the promotion / relegation playoff for a place in next season’s Bluefin Sport Championship.
Despite the early setback the home side enjoyed plenty of possession through the game but failed to test Andrew Buchanan in the Dergview goal.
