DUNS HIT SWIFTS FOR SIX TO STRETCH LEAD AT THE TOP

Dundela opened up a five point gap at the top of the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League with victory over Sport & Leisure Swifts at Glen Road Heights.

Swifts, pushing for a top six spot, went ahead early in the first half when leading scorer Kevin Lynch knocked home his ninth goal of the campaign on 11 minutes.

And it was a lead they held until the stroke of half-time when David McMaster levelled for the Duns before, just three minutes after the break, Carl McComb edged the league leaders in front but back came Sport & Leisure courtesy of a Niall McAuley strike just sixty seconds after that.

However, Dundela pushed on with three goals inside a blistering 15 minute spell midway through the half. Karl Devine grabbed number three on 63 minutes followed by Jordan Hughes six minutes later and Daniel Burns on 78 ... before, with three minutes left, substitute Luke Fisher completed the scoring.
