Armagh City retained their Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League status following this defeat of Donegal Celtic at Holm Park.
The Eagles might have raced into the lead inside the opening quarter-of-an-hour when they were awarded a penalty but Matthew Hynds could only look on as Sean McIlhone saved his spot-kick.
However, the deadlock was broken on 24 minutes when John Uprichard rose highest to meet a corner to nod home his first goal for the club.
City's bright start when leading scorer Nedas Macuilaitis doubled their advantage after half-an-hour but, after making a couple of substitutions towards the break, Celtic pulled agoal back through Matthew Robinson on 53 minutes.
But the Hoops were unable to claw themselves back into the game, and ended with ten men on the pitch following Ciaran Murray's 81st minute dismissal for a second bookable offence.
