Lisburn Distillery await their first win of the season after surrendering an early lead at home to Newington.
However, they did get off to a perfect start when, after eight minutes, Alan McMurtry slotted home from the spot after Michael O'Hanlon had been brought down inside the box.
Distillery continued to apply pressure to Newington, coming close to scoring a second minutes later when Aaron Harris played a corner towards the near post, where O'Hanlon ran towards the ball and flicked it on to Nick Beta's head, but the keeper got down well and the ball was able to be cleared away from danger.
This missed opportunity was prove costly after half-an-hour when, on the counter attack, Newington levelled through Conal Burns from the edge of the area after Johnny Gowdy found him unmarked.
Distillery looked the more likely to get a second goal when, after the break, Conor Corry switched the ball to the right for O'Hanlon to draw a defender before slipping a pass to McMurtry but he was unable to find the target.
Newington almost may the Whites pay again after that. Burns worked his way past McMurtry to attempt to lift the ball over keeper Jonah Nicholl who palmed it out only as far as Kevin Hughes but he could only send the ball over.
