Ryan McCready scored twice as Queens University secured a comfortable 3-1 home win over bottom placed Dollingstown in the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League.

The home side opened the scoring on 19 minutes as Matt Hughes’ initial shot was tipped onto the crossbar by Stephen Croft but Chris Middleton’s follow up cross was nodded home by McCready.

The Students doubled their lead as McCready turned provider on 33 minutes playing through Lorcan McIlroy, who powerfully fired home.

Queen’s continued to dominate into the second half and wrapped the game up on 56 minutes when Ryan McCready grabbed his second of the afternoon from close range.

Dollingston did manage a consolation goal when Nathan Lavery followed up Richard Thompson’s saved effort on 81 minutes.
