Ryan McCready claimed the match ball with a hat-trick for title chasing Queen's University in this victory over Tobermore United at The Dub.
This game was effectively over with Ryan Doherty's dismissal after just three minutes when he brought Conor Mulholland down from behind as he was racing into the Tobermore box.
Seven minutes later Queen's opened the scoring. Ronan Young's corner was played to Matt Hughes who flicked it on for McCready to volley past Andrew Findlay in the visiting goal.
Tobermore's ten men battled manfully and came close when Neil Lamont headed over and Ryan Whiteside's shot from a narrow angle went wide of the far post.
Queen's second goal duly arrived when Young crossed the ball from the left wing and McCready's looping header dropped over the stranded Findlay.
There was little atmosphere in a low key second half. Conor Kearns for Tobermore volleyed across the goal but wide of the far post. The final goal was scored by McCready who timed his run to meet Young's corner and header in at the near post.
