NEWINGTON STORM THROUGH WITH FOUR SECOND HALF GOALS

Dollingstown's Richard Thompson had two half chances in the first 10 minutes but he fired both efforts wide of the far post.

On 15 minutes Dollingstown won a corner when the home 'keeper pushed Glen Hand's effort over the bar, but Newington broke out with pace and Neil King was unable to get cover on quick enough allowing Chris McFall through to place his shot low into bottom corner.

On 35 minutes Dollingstown were back on level terms when Newington 'keeper Dean Smyth miskicked a back pass allowing Hand to score from a very acute angle.

A minute later Newington were reduced to ten men following a very rash Peter Gilgunn tackle and Dollingstown took advantage going in front for the first time when Thompson held off two defenders to score.

The second half was all Newington.

On the hour mark Dollingstown were also reduced to ten men when Aaron Moffett received a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity and Newington equalised from the resultant penalty through Conal Burns, and they went in front soon after when their Cathal O'Kane headed home.

On 68 minutes it was 4-2 when Joe Todd simply walked through the defence before, moments from time, he added a fifth with a 25-yard chip over Marty Hughes.
