OWN GOAL GIVES ANNAGH CRUCIAL ADVANTAGE

Annagh United put a little distance between themselves and Newington at the foot of the table thanks to this narrow victory at Seaview.

The only goal of the game came midway through the first half when Swans defender Gerard Dempsey turned the ball into his own net.

Newington remain bottom of the table, tied with Donegal Celtic on 15 points, but this win moves Annagh into ninth spot and, crucially, four points clear of both Belfast sides.
