THE only fixture in Championship Two was nearly was a non starter.

Referee Eddie Ferguson ordered the lines to re-marked after they have washed off in the early morning rain the Portstewart officials struggled but after a few attempts finally got the line on and the match got the thumbs up from the Referee.

The home side opened their account after 12 minutes. Coagh's David Calderwood lost possession allowing Mervyn Nichol to break, his pass found Sam Boylan who lobbed Johnny Yorke for the opener.

Coagh levelled twenty minutes later after Stephen Lamont's corner kick went straight into goal.

In the heavy conditions the home side produced a flowing move which sliced Coagh wide open.

Nichol, Dinsmore and Boylan were all involved before James Peden blasted the Ports back into the lead. Coagh huff and puffed in front of goal before they finally got the equalizer.

James Ferguson supplied the cross for Aaron Campbell to head home for a fair result for both sides.
