PORTSTEWART left Newforge just a little bit shocked after conceding two goals in injury time to a PSNI team that struggled throughout to find any rhythm to their play.

In the opening minutes AdamcZyk should have scored after Forsythe put him through down the middle only to see Madison in the Portstewart goal force the centre forward wide of the nets.

The Police did however take the lead after twenty five minutes when Hadden headed home a great left wing cross from Forsythe.

The visitors struck back twice just before half time when Wilson tipped over a twenty yard drive from midfielder Mervyn Nicholl. James Peden then scored direct from the resulting corner.

The same player added a second when he beat Wilson with a twenty yard free kick that somehow evaded the home defence to give Portstewart a surprising 2-1 half time lead.

In an end to end second half Joe Madison saved a penalty from Rory Hamill after Adamczyk was fouled inside the box.

As the game went into injury time the PSNI were awarded a second penalty for Adamczyk to equalise.

In the dying seconds the Police put together their best move of the match when Hamill fed Brown for the midfielder to brilliantly side foot the winner past the advancing Madison.
