Queen's University secured a play-off spot with victory over Lisburn Distillery at New Grosvenor Stadium.
The Whites were the only side that could have denied the Students the chance to face Dergview for a place in the Championship next season, but they needed to win their final two games of the season whereas Queen's just needed one point to be sure.
In the end, they secured all three thanks to a Matthew Hughes double either side of the break.
The 21-year-old brought his tally for the campaign to 13, opening the scoring on 41 minutes before adding another a couple of minutes into second half after the home defence failed to clear their lines.
However, knowing nothing less than a maximum return would keep their play-off hopes alive, the Whites pushed hard in an attempt to get back into the game.
Mikey Withers pulled a goal back just after the hour, taking the ball past four defenders before beating Declan Brown with a wonder strike.
Paul Young then almost levelled only to smash the ball against the crossbar, before Gary Workman saw an effort tipped wide with Young testing Brown again late in the game.
