ARMAGH City moved joint top of Belfast Telegraph Championship 2 with a six-goal thumping of Killymoon Rangers at Holm Park.

Ultan Lennon opened the scoring for City on 25 minutes when he got on the end of a Dale Montgomery free-kick to nod the ball beyond Matthew Rainey.

He made it 2-0 five minutes from the break with another header from another Montgomery cross, albeit this time from the left.

And Gavin McParland added a third for Armagh on the stroke of half-time when he rounded Rangers 'keeper Rainey to slot the ball home with his left foot.

The scoring continued early in the second half after Stephen Murray met a through ball from Philip Donnelly to record his 30th goal of the season.

But undoubtedly the pick of the bunch arrived some 12 minutes later after Donnelly again provided the telling ball for Andy Moore to send a bicycle kick into the top corner from the edge of the box.

The scoring was completed on 67 minutes when Moore this time turned provider to tee up McParland for his second of the night.
