Two second half goals from Sean O'Reilly and Kevin Hughes helped Newington defeat Armagh City at Holm Park.

The sides traded chances in the scoreless first half with Conor Mullen and Neil Kerr having openings for City while Jonathan Gowdy twice threatened for the visitors.

And the Swans were further denied before the break when Padraig Scollay and Joe Todd had efforts. blocked by Lee Campbell.

However, Newington find a way through just before the hour through O'Reilly with a superb 20-yard drive in off an upright on the break from a City corner.

Then, right at the end, substitute Hughes made sure of the points with a finish past Conor Larkin following a swift counter attack.
