Kevin Anderson (67)
Ryan Moffatt (78p)

Mark McCabe (65)

After a scoreless first half Banbridge were dealt a blow with the dismissal of player-manager Stuart King for serious foul play.

The deadlock was broken with two goals in as many minutes just after the hour mark.

Mark McCabe fired Newry into the lead on 65 minutes. Jimmy Walker did well to create space and then offer up a shot which, although saved by Tuda Murphy, was only pushed as far as McCabe who duly returned the ball into the net.

But Banbridge levelled soon after going behind through Kevin Anderson with a superbly executed 20 yard volley following an excellent run and cross down the left from Daniel Devlin.

And the ten men sealed the points with 12 minutes remaining from the spot, Ryan Moffatt converting after the referee had spotted some holding in the area.
