Linfield Swifts powered their way to a thumping 8-1 defeat of Coleraine Reserves in the second round of games in the new Premiership Development League on Wednesday night.
The Swifts, with 13 goals to their credit already, found the net through Ross Clarke (2), Adam Salley (2), Jonny Frazer (2), Lewis Houston and Jack Campbell.
Glentoran II also made it two wins from two with a convincing defeat of last season's Reserve League champions Cliftonville Olympic.
Padraig Hughes tapped home the opening goal early on after a good move down the right flank. Karl Hamill made it 2-0 midway through the first half after he latched onto a defence splitting Patrick Cafolla pass.
The Reds grabbed a consolation through Daniel Reynolds following a goalmouth scramble.
Ballymena United Reserves also maintained their 100% start to the campaign with victory over Glenavon Reserves, Chandler Douglas and Matthew Shevlin getting the goals in a good all round team performance.
And it was a convincing performance, too, from a young Crusaders Reserves side as they hit five without reply past Carrick Rangers. New signing Jack Smith bagged two goals with Salou Jallow, Ryan Nimick and Brandon Doyle also getting on the scoresheet.
The Premiership Development League continues with three games on Saturday, kick-off 2pm.
Then, on Wednesday night (17th), there are 7:45pm kick-offs for the following games:-
