EARLY VOLLEY GIVES DUNS THE EDGE
An early goal proved enough for Dundela to narrowly defeat Newry City at Wilgar Park.
What turned out to be the match winner arrived after just ten minutes when Aaron Prendergast – on loan from Glenavon – volleyed home from the edge of the box.
The visitors worked hard in pursuit of the equaliser, and might have grabbed it midway through the first half when Ryan McNickle headed just over from Seanan Foster's cross.
After the break Foster was on hand again to supply the cross from Ciaran O'Connor but his header fell just wide of the target while, later in the game, Alex O'Brien was denied by an excellent save from Aaron Hogg.
