Ards swept to their first win of the season with a comprehensive four-goal Friday night victory over Newry City.
Mark Kelly opened the scoring for Ards on 26 minutes with a well directed header past Steven Maguire, his second goal in six days for Colin Nixon's side.
And Kelly played a part in Ards' second 11 minutes later when he provided the lay-off for Jonny Frazer to finish off a good team move.
Then, two minutes from the break, Kym Nelson extended the home advantage with an exquisite 20-yard curling free-kick into the top corner.
Michael Kerr, a half-time substitution, almost added a fourth early in the second only to see Maguire dive full length to keep out his 25-yard piledriver.
Newry squandered a gilt-edged opportunity to recover a goal just before the hour when Stephen Hughes was unable to beat Sam Johnston from the spot with the Ards keeper diving correctly to make the save.
Undeterred, Newry kept pressing and were thwarted by Johnston again when he dived low to his right to keep out a Stefan Lavery effort.
But Ards hit back with a fourth goal to kill the game off with Frazer's second of the night when, on 78 minutes turned a half volley into the roof of the net.
