Coleraine made it back-to-back wins with victory over Cliftonville at The Showgrounds.

After a scoreless first half which produced few chances, the Bannsiders moved in front five minutes into after the break through Josh Carson after he connected with a low cross from Adam Mullan.

Then, just after the hour, Carson turned provider when he laid the ball off for Jamie McGonigle to beat Brett Long with a drilled finish into the bottom corner.

Cliftonville fought back after that with Jamie Harney seeing a header cleared off the line by Ciaron Harkin.

And the Reds were thwarted again on 83 minutes when another Harney header was knocked towards goal by Joe Gormley with Darren McCauley this time making the clearance while, moments later, Martin Donnelly saw his free-kick tipped over by Chris Johns.

Brad Lyons might have added to Coleraine's lead in stoppage time with an ambitious long range effort after spotting Long off his line only for the ball to come back off the crossbar.
